Recently, I had the opportunity to do this exercise with other Metronomics Coaches, using insights from Dan Sullivan and Dr. Ben Hardy’s 10X Is Easier Than 2X framework.

It was powerful. It was humbling. And it reinforced a key truth:

What Is a 10X Moment?

A 10X moment is any time you made a decision, took action, or had an insight that significantly elevated your trajectory—in your business, leadership, or life. It’s when you stepped up, leveled up, and things started moving in a way they hadn’t before.

Your 10X Moments Might Look Like:

• A tough decision you made that positioned your company for growth, even when it felt risky.
• A time you pivoted—and in hindsight, it was exactly the right call.
• The moment you realized a key hire (or fire) changed everything.
• When your team finally clicked—and execution became effortless.
• The shift from working in the business to working on the business.

What 10X Reflection Teaches Us

Every time I do this exercise, a few key insights stand out:

• You’ve already played bigger than you give yourself credit for. Growth can feel slow, but when you look back, you see just how far you’ve come.
• Your biggest breakthroughs didn’t happen by accident. There’s a pattern to your success—your unique way of thinking, making decisions, and leading your team.
• Most 10X moments come from working on the business, not in it. You made your biggest jumps when you stepped back and gave yourself time to think strategically.

How to Make This Happen: 3 Simple Actions

1. Set Aside Time to Reflect

Block time in your calendar. Grab a notebook or a whiteboard and ask yourself:

• What were my biggest 10X moments in the last 12 months?
• What decisions, actions, or mindset shifts got me there?
• What did I learn from those moments that can help me drive my next 10X move?
